Should I be worried about this?

Hi youngchullim,

Can you copy the command line code you ran to get this error message? It would help with the debugging process. Thanks.

Michael

/usr/bin/ruby -e “$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)”

Hey there youngchullim,

First thing I would do is to make sure X-code is installed before you installed homebrew.
If that is not the problem, you will want to run this code to change the permission of homebrew:
sudo chown -R "$USER":admin /usr/local
and sudo chown -R "$USER":admin /Library/Caches/Homebrew
If you are using macOS High Sierra you should run the following code instead:
sudo chown -R $(whoami) $(brew --prefix)/*
After that, if there are no errors, you can install Homebrew again as instructed from aaonline.
If this does not work, just copy or screenshot the error and I will take a look at that.

Thanks,
Michael Ruan

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I’ve been doing all the problems on atom and but I was just wondering if the warnings matter

Hmm interesting. Are you able to run specs on the terminal to check your work?

Everything seems to be working fine, I was just confused when I first started and installed everything and the warning popped up.

If everything is fine and you can run code, I would not worry too much about the error warning. From what I see, it will not affect any of the exercises in Alpha Course.
