I am a catalina macos user and rbenv doesn't seem to be set up properly

I am following the instructions perfectly and everything seems to be fine after I finish running all the commands on the terminal. After I close the terminal and open a new terminal window, I don’t see any of the changes I made. I get the following:

ruby -v
ruby 2.6.3p62 (2019-04-16 revision 67580) [universal.x86_64-darwin19]

which ruby
/usr/bin/ruby

For some reason things are being set up properly globally, right? I am running into issues going into the RSpec section when I run “bundle install.”

Any other catalina users experiencing the same thing?

My temporary solution right now is to simply rerun the commands in the ruby environment set up to get the proper ruby…

Mac comes with a pre installed version of ruby and hence is set to /usr/bin/ruby. You want your ruby to be in …rbenv/shims. To do that, enter ‘rbenv global 2.5.1’ and then ‘rbenv rehash’ to solidify the changes and last 'source ~/.zshrc’. Try installing your bundle now and if this still doesnt work, try restarting your mac :stuck_out_tongue: or follow the tutorial again.
