HTML/CSS .. not sure where I am going wrong

Hey everyone! I recently failed my first assessment by scoring an 11/12 and was hoping I can get some clarification on my my change.

Question missed:
has exactly one input with a name of ‘pet_name’ and an associated label with the content ‘Name’

current write up:

What I believe is the solution: I think by changing my "for=“pet_name” will be the correct solution but I am not entirely sure.

Any feedback is helpful!

Thank you,

Hi, @Jet. First, welcome to the community!

Second, you’re super close … take a look at this code:

<div>
  <label for="name" id="name">Name</label>
  <input type="text" id="name" name="pet_name" />
</div>

Tip: Note that you have two elements with the id value of name

Thank you for the warm welcome! I am grateful to be part of the community!

To follow up with that, I’ve been trying to figure out the significance of the “for” value/attribute. Is it to connect associate the label with the input?

The simplest use case for the for attribute is so that when you click on the label with your mouse, it will automatically put your focus into the input it is associated with for typing.
