What I believe is the solution: I think by changing my "for=“pet_name” will be the correct solution but I am not entirely sure.

To follow up with that, I’ve been trying to figure out the significance of the “for” value/attribute. Is it to connect associate the label with the input?
The simplest use case for the
for attribute is so that when you click on the
label with your mouse, it will automatically put your focus into the
input it is associated with for typing.
