HTML/CSS assessment missed questions

Hi everyone,

I just received the results for my HTML/CSS Assessment and I received a 6/12 for missing the following questions:

  • has a ‘button’ element which contains the exact text “Create new pet”

  • has two ‘input’ fields

  • has one card

  • has exactly one input with a name of ‘pet_name’ and an associated label with the content ‘Name’

  • has exactly one ‘select’ element with a name of ‘pet_type’ and an associated label with the content ‘Type’

  • has exactly one reset ‘button’ elements that has the content ‘Reset’

I’m unable to post screenshots of all of my code, but I’ll post one of where I think most of the errors originated from.

Hi London,
It looks like you have the general HTML code needed, but these are not passing due to minor details in the specification and the tests. Even if elements are showing up in the browser, they may still fail the tests if the details are not EXACTLY what you see in the specification in the assessment directions.

I recommend that you double-check the following:

  • Capitalization and punctuation details

  • Count the number of each element in your code (such as input) and compare it against what you see in your results. Check the type of element required for each spec.

  • Check the details of the content of your labels

If you check these things, you should start to see where the issues are.
