Hangman Difficulty

I found Hangman to be a rather difficult problem, even searching for help at different parts of the problem, and checking in with the solution when I really felt like I had hit a wall. In general, how should we have fared with this problem during our prep? Is this difficulty level expected to be mastered when we walk in on day 1 of a/A, or are strategies used to solve this problem covered a bit in the actual a/A curriculum?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

For me–doing it phase by phase-- I followed the advice we got of refactoring code before adding new code. Try this, it may help.
