Git Hub submission error

Hello!

When I submitted my Git Hub assignment I received the following email:

Hi Bryan,

Unfortunately you did not receive a passing score on your latest module, Git Assessment. Your score was 3 / 4.

Remember, you’re allowed three re-take attempts between all modules. You have currently used 3 out of 4 attempts. To continue, please retake the module, Git Assessment, in the prepwork.

As a reminder, you’ve completed 2 out of 3 total modules. Once all three modules are complete, you’ll be able to join an upcoming cohort.

The questions you missed were:

’together’ branch

fatal: ambiguous argument ‘student/together’: unknown revision or path not in the working tree.Use ‘–’ to separate paths from revisions, like this:‘git […] – […]’

’togther’ branch

Additional branch provided

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your Admissions Specialist directly.

Sincerely,
App Academy Admissions

I think my mistake was misspelling the name of my together branch as “togther” … I can provide my zip file. Is it possible to confirm or deny my suspicion?

Hi Bryan! Thanks for reaching out.

The error messages for git can be intimidating but I think you are correct in your assumption. This message is saying:

“I didn’t find what I was looking for”
fatal: ambiguous argument ‘student/together’: unknown revision or path not in the working tree .Use ‘–’ to separate paths from revisions, like this:‘git […] – […]’

and

“I found something I wasn’t expecting”

’togther’ branch

Additional branch provided.

Hope that helps!
